Can you believe we are about to enter the 3rd week of January?! Let’s stay positive, continue to work on the things we love, and work on using our voice through our writing, speaking, art, and how we show up in this world.
As promised, here are your weekly journaling prompts. When I do the prompts myself before sharing them with you, I set a timer for 15 minutes and see what comes out in my journal. There are no rules around how you use them, but this is a good way to begin if you are new to using prompts.
I enjoy reading what comes up for you as you respond to them, so feel free to tag me on social or backlink here on the blog if you write or record a response. I’ve also enjoyed seeing the responses those of you who journal them in handwriting have sent to me via email. It’s exciting for me to see that these little ideas in my brain are fun and helpful for you as well.
Under each of the graphics, you will find the prompts in typed out so you can see them clearly if the font is too small in the picture or if you want to copy and paste them for your response. I hope this helps make the prompts accessible to as many of you as possible.
This person can walk either direction. Write about what happens with each scenario.
What does she encounter? How does she feel? Who does she meet?
If you were the only person left on Earth, how would you spend your days? Go into detail and share the imagery you think of.
In what areas of your life do you keep going in circles? What would you have to do to stop the rotation? What is stopping you from taking that action?
For some of us, it’s been a while since we could have a dinner party. For your first dinner party once you feel comfortable having them again, who will you invite and why? How do you expect to feel after the party is over?
For this prompt, look at the picture and write a short story, poem, or whatever else comes to mind.
Follow me on Instagram for additional insight on writing, marketing, discovering your voice, and life, as well as writing and poetry, events, and more. You’ll also catch the occasional behind-the-scenes look into the life that supports me in showing up for you the way I do. It will be slow throughout January due to my routine in January but come February I have some fun things planned!
If you read this far, be sure to drop your blog link in the comments below. While I can see all of you who are on WordPress who I’ve subscribed to, there is no way to see everyone who has stopped by or subscribed to me in a way that I can click on their links and visit their pages as well. I have to go post by post. Help me honor my time by dropping your blog link in the comments – or drop a link to your favorite post from it – and I will stop by during the month to read a post or two.
Let’s truly engage this year as we grow together in our writing!
