In 2012, I wrote this story as a response to a writing prompt. It was shared live within some churches across the east coast by friends and people who read it and asked if they could do so. I have read it in Toastmasters meetings and shared it in live readings over the years. Today I took it out to dust it off, improve it a bit, and remind myself of the power of sharing our stories.
Are you feeling like life has stalled? Have you experienced a broken heart? Do you wonder how your life is going to make sense? My book “When I Stopped Remembering Tomorrow” shares a walk through my life as I overcome some pretty tragic events and learn to fall in love with who I am. In doing so, I met God on the way. This book is a very honest look at my journey to loving the God I thought I knew.
What’s it like when you meet someone who changes your world and shows you how capable you really are? I wrote a poem about how I felt when it happened.
Do you keep going when you realize you hit a dead end – or do you turn around? A little story about my tendencies.
