Being Still versus Being Stagnant

While filming videos about voice discovery and reading my poetry, I started rambling to my videographer (the talented La Chale Renee). She started filming and this is what resulted.

Don’t mistake your stillness for stagnancy. It’s okay to not be hustling and not be gaining new clients. With all that has happened in the past few months, it is ABSOLUTELY okay to sit back, listen, and have complete peace that you will be okay in your business and life by taking time to rest and refuel. Like Jesus in the boat during the storm, the world can be going chaotic around us but if we know that we are doing the Father’s business, we can have absolute peace.

    Dearest Shell, I believe this is a message we ALL need to hear right now! There is most certainly a difference, and you’ve highlighted it beautifully. I am grateful your talented videographer was right there to capture these moments. 😉

    What a gift the peace, rest, and stillness of God in our lives are. It’s something I have struggled with immensely over the years — feeling like I need to be ‘on’ all the time. It’s what I was taught.

    Problem is, I’m an introvert, and that simply doesn’t work for me. It wasn’t until recent years that I began to understand, God doesn’t expect that from me. Resting in His presence and reconnecting with HIS heart are the only ways I can survive life’s storms and understand His path for me anyway. If I’m go-go-go, I’m missing out on so much that He lovingly gives.

    Your reminder was on time and needed. Thank you for sharing this, my friend! 💐 You are simply beautiful, inside and out. What a treasure you are to all of us!
